This November, The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Mocha” will finally be releasing after previously being expected to drop in June.
It will come in a black and sail leather upper, with brown suede panels on the heel, but what has got everyone talking is how similar the shoe looks to the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1’s that released last May.

Although not identical, the shoes feature very similar brown suede panels, and a similar sail base.
The new Air Jordan 1 Dark Mocha colorway is effectively going to be a black-toe version of the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1, which has split sneakerheads, with some thinking the shoe looks great. And the others having a problem with Nike creating a design so similar to such a popular shoe.

The two shoes look like each other enough for the claim to be valid. As it must have crossed the minds of one of the Nike employees working on the shoe. Especially since the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1’s were so successful.
It feels wrong to copy someone else’s design because you know it will sell well. Even if you had a part in making the original product, but at the same time this is also a nice opportunity for those who missed out on the Travis Scott’s to get a pair of these instead.

Whatever your opinions are about whether Nike did copy themselves, or if that should be allowed. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Mocha” will release in November, for $170.
