In 2018, Jordan created the Jordan Legacy 312 with Don C, named the 312 as a reference to Michael Jordan’s area code in Chicago.

The model has the shape of the Air Jordan 1, with the midsole of the Air Jordan 3. And the strap of the Nike Air Alpha Force Low and released in July of 2018.

The Jordan Legacy 312 was a massive flop, and it sat on shelves for so long, that Don C, who in the past has had very successful collaborations with Jordan brand, had his name removed from the shoe.

This is one of many different Jordan mash-up shoes, recently to have failed entirely on release. But one of the reasons they are still being made is because of how popular they once were.

The Air Jordan Spizike has struggled lately but once was quite successful and in 2005. Air Jordan Dub Zero was one of the most popular shoes. Especially because of the patented leather is also seen on the Air Jordan 11.

Jordan brand still seems to be pumping these hybrids out though, making the Air Jordan 6 rings. Son of Mars, and Mars 270, without attracting much buzz.

One reason why they still come out is that the Jordan brand holds wait, and although these aren’t classic Air Jordan’s, they have the same look people desire.

It has an old school basketball vibe, and although most sneakerheads and “Hypebeasts,” don’t pay the mash-up models any attention. It is clear that they are still getting bought, maybe because they are easy to get hold of, or often available on sale for lower prices, so for the time being, it looks like mash-up models will be here to stay.
