Russell Westbrook and Jordan brand have just unveiled their third signature shoe after the success of their first two, Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 as the NBA season ramps up.
The low top shoe features a strap across the midfoot, and the upper is made from a mix of different synthetic materials.
Topped off with an Air Turbo unit, split into segments to make it more responsive. The shoe is advertised as able to cater to Westbrooks’s motor, muscle, and mentality.
The Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 received a mostly positive reception, as a decent performer on the court even if the silhouette wasn’t stylistically right for everyone.
And the Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 is a natural successor with a just as unique design. Performance-wise, the model has a lightning bolt style traction and an Air Turbo unit in the midsole to give. The shoe some impact protection and provide some bounce in your step.
The ankle is highly cushioned. And although the tongue is separated from the main body of the shoe. The tongue is still connected to the sides of the upper to give the shoe a sock-like fit. As well as the lockdown required to play basketball.
Although some have compared the Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 to the Puma Liquid Cell. It is a promising shoe with undoubtedly many colorways to come out over the upcoming year.
We are yet to see quite how well it performs. But for $130, and considering how reliable Russell Westbrook‘s line has been in the past. Jordan brand seems to be starting 2020 off right.
