Although the pandemic has downsized operations in the world of shoes this year, sneakerheads will be happy to know that there is still plenty of heat set to drop in the remaining months of 2020.
Especially seen as many models are produced up to a year in advance of their release date, no matter how the rest of the year goes, plenty of sneakers are already packaged up in a large warehouse, waiting to be picked up by bots and resellers, whilst we yell at our SNKRS app for the 1 millionth time.
Nevertheless, in a time when more of us than ever have othing to do, it can’t hurt to have a look at what sneakers will be dropping later this year.
There are plenty of big releases coming this October but seen as the next two spots on this list are taken by Air Jordan’s, we have chosen to talk about the Nike LeBron 18.
Although originally released in the states on the 21st of September, LeBron James’ newest addition to his popular signature sneaker line is expected to see its first worldwide release on the 9th of October in a “James Gang” colorway, dedicated to his family. ‘Lebron 18’
The shoe will come in a black KnitPosite 2.0 upper, but with a padded heel section that will be covered in the names of James’ family, in a graffiti style font. This upper is then paired with a thick outsole, that features both Max Air and a 10mm full-length Zoom Unit, which not only makes the shoe perfect for playing in, but it also makes it extremely comfortable for casual use.
Moving onto November, the shoe of the month will be releasing the day after Thanksgiving, on Black Friday.Known for its great deals and consumers camping out the night before, Black Friday is now a popular time for brands to release their most sought after sneakers, and this year it will be no different, as Jordan Brand will be retro-ing the Air Jordan 4 Fire Red.
Dressed in a white leather upper, with hits of red and black, the shoe features both the Air Jordan 4’s original color blocking as well as its original shape. The look is then topped off with the iconic orange Nike tag attached to the top eyelet.
Lastly, this December, the iconic Air Jordan 11 will make its yearly return, and this time it will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. Dressed in an all-black upper with a white midsole, the shoe will feature hits of silver on the Jordan branding and will come with a creamy white outsole.
Fans of the Air Jordan 11 originally thought the “Cool Grey” colorway might finally be returning this year after Jayson Tatum showed off a pair on his social media, but Jordan Brand swiftly shut down these rumors. This left many fans of the silhouette upset, but you can still expect the Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary” to sell out on the spot on December the 11th.
